Today, I decided to start a blog.
In 2019, having your own blog isn't unique. So why make one?
I blame finsta- the world of "fake" instagram, or a spam account. I began using my spam account, which is different from my public, personal account, as a way to express my thoughts on anything and everything. My personal Instagram was calculated, filtered; but my spam account was a (sometimes wild) creation of my own. So, I created a blog as a medium. A space for expression, more organized than a finsta and less filtered than a rinsta.
Candidacy.
That's the goal of this page. Sharing real content.
One of the biggest problems I have with blogs is that it becomes to seem like a chore for the owner. Bloggers strive to post a certain number of times a week, take a ton of pictures so they can find the perfect one, and only post what they think will receive likes. Don't expect perfection from me because it's not what I'm striving for.
That's where the name of this blog came from.
I'll admit, I've had the idea of starting a blog for quite awhile. Most of my shower thoughts were about names. I love peaches, the emoji more than the actual fruit, so I knew that had to be in the name. Peachy keen, according to Google's dictionary feature, means "very satisfactory." I don't always consider my life to be up to that standard- probably more of an in-between. In Between Peachy Keen is about a life with imperfections, and the goal of this blog is to share my imperfect lifestyle.
life's a peach and so are you!
and here's what's coming up next:
-what it's like to start a blog
-how i edit my photos
-any suggestions from y'all!!!!
xoxo, lauren
